Dr. John T. Noble

Director for the Centre for Non-Western Studies
John T. Noble joined the HU community in fall 2012. Dr. Noble holds MDiv and MA degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the BA from Taylor University. He also holds a PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University. His dissertation investigated the theological function of Ishmael in the Abrahamic Covenant.
As a graduate teaching fellow, he taught in several core courses at Harvard, with topics ranging from the Book of Job to Homeric Epic and to Reason and Faith.
Dr. Noble’s ministry experience includes prison chaplaincy, New City Scholar mentoring at Gordon College, and children’s and adult education classes in his local church.
