As a broadcast-fusion media student at HU, you will gain a solid foundation for a professional career in media communication ranging from radio and television to corporate media.

This major takes the field of broadcasting to a new level. You will learn photography, film, story development, and web work. When you graduate, you will be able to work in a variety of settings, including visual and audio podcasting, broadcast journalism, backpack documentaries, advertising agencies, sports broadcasting in radio or TV, or as a church media specialist.

At HU, you will discover your skills as a producer, anchor, reporter, and corporate media practitioner. You will practice faith-informed thinking about this enormously popular and pervasive form of digital media in our society.


Opportunities abound. Huntington's hands-on approach prepares students for exciting careers in media communication. 

Studios are state-of-the-art. Students learn proper announcing and production skills using the same type of equipment found in the real world.



On the Air! HTV 22 News the department’s weekly local news show. Students write, report, direct, and produce the shows which air online and around campus. HTV is one of only 70 of CBS's college affiliate stations.

Students obtain hands-on fusion media experience by announcing on our radio station, FUSE 105.5 WQHU-LP FM. The radio outlet includes both an on-air studio and a production news room facility with a multi-track digital audio workstation. Our broadcast is now available at 105.5 FM and live via Internet.
