Learning is a lifetime pursuit, but it can be difficult to pursue formal education when involved in a fast-paced career. For Kevin Ogan, Quotations Clerk at Ford Meter Box Company, Huntington University’s Adult Degree Programs are the perfect fit when it comes to continuing his education.
Huntington offers an attractive program that allows students like Ogan to take classes either one night a week or online while still receiving high-caliber instruction. Ogan has been impressed not only by the program’s format, but by the fact that Huntington “provides quality education which is highly respected by employers.”
Ogan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing because he believes it will give him a competitive edge in his field. A degree in Marketing has far-reaching professional applications, equipping students with a range of tools to further their careers.
“I chose to pursue the marketing major due to the specialized and unique skills that it will allow me to provide to employers,” Ogan says. “No matter the industry or job, we are all marketing something, and understanding the science of marketing will allow me to become more marketable to employers.”
But what Ogan appreciates most about Huntington is the professors and staff who are “always courteous, friendly, and perhaps the most helpful staff I’ve dealt with.” He adds, “The people involved with this program are the best aspect.”
HU faculty and staff also bring a Christian perspective to bear, challenging students to interact with their faith in more meaningful ways as they continue to advance their careers. “This has grown my faith immensely,” said Ogan. “The courses involving religion are taught by true professionals who are academic and scholarly in their teaching. They make you want to understand your faith deeper and seek more information.”
