Guest artist to give one-day pottery workshop at HU

HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Indiana-based studio potter Scott Cooper will be offering a one-day artist workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 2 at Huntington University.

From 10-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m., he will give demonstrations in the Art Annex building. At 11 a.m., he will give a slide talk, and then at 1 p.m. he will move to the Robert E. Wilson Gallery to give a gallery talk.

His hands-on exhibit of “Pots Are For People” is currently on display in the Wilson Gallery in the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

For more than 20 years, Cooper has been making a wide range of functional pots that are intended for daily use.

The Wilson Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all MCA performances and by appointment. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
