HUNTINGTON, Ind. — A lecture on the “Brain Cell Transplant and Signal Analysis for Parkinson’s Disease” will be presented by Dr. Tim Gilmour at 4 p.m. March 30 in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall at Huntington University. The seminar is part of the Gerald D. Smith Lecture Series in the Natural and Mathematical Sciences, and is free and open to the public.
Gilmour recently completed a Ph.D. with the Pennsylvania State University Electrical Engineering Department and the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Neurology Department. His research focuses on electrical abnormalities in the brain in Parkinson’s Disease, the effect of cell transplants on Parkinson's Disease electrophysiology and the application of novel signal processing methods for neuronal recordings.
