Huntington, Ind.— Award-winning investigative journalist Daniel Bice will present "Watchdogs in the Era of New Media" on March 9 at 7 p.m. at the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University. The presentation is the next in the University's Forester Lecture Series.

Bice is a columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. His work exposed secret gambling agreements, corrupt ministers, tribal campaign donations and bungled police investigations, earning him a national reputation as an accomplished political watchdog.

Bice won the National Headliner Award in 2009 -- his second -- and has won best project honors from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.

His presentation at Huntington University will address challenges to the profession of investigative journalism in the new media environment of 24-hour news cycles, the internet, and the blogosphere.
