Tyler Holbein loves art. Tyler recently decided to expand his interest in photography by launching a small photography business.
"I like to take things that may not at first appear to be attractive, and approach them from a different angle, and in a new light, showing the true beauty," said Tyler, a film major from Palmyra, N.Y.
Tyler first fell in love with the photography hobby about two years ago. Originally, Tyler worked more in urban photography, but now tries to take more portraits.
After honing his skills and gaining experience behind the camera, Tyler launched a website. Tyler named his new business “Bean Photography,” after a common mispronunciation of his last name . To create brand awareness, Tyler uses social networking and the Internet to showcase his work and connect with potential clients. Tyler’s website features samples of his work in urban, rural and portrait photography.
Tyler gives credit to his film classes and film professors for helping him learn more about cameras.
“I’m learning about things like lighting perspectives,” Tyler said. “I’m also learning how to view things differently with light and elements.”
