Bean named Forester Athlete of the Week


Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of November 28–December 4, 2005. Women’s basketball senior, Betsey Bean, earned the honor for her excellent effort during the week’s competitions.

Betsey Bean, an exercise science major from Olivet, Mich. (Olivet High School), had a strong performance for the Foresters last week. On Tuesday, Bean scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds in Huntington’s 70-66 win over the NAIA 6th-ranked Cougars of St. Francis. She followed that up with a double-double against the 24th-ranked Taylor University Trojans on Saturday. She finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the game. The Foresters (4-5, 1-2) will next travel to Grace College on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at 7 p.m.
