HUNTINGTON, Ind.— The
Huntington University Concert Choir would like to invite the community to perform with them as they combine with the
Huntington University Orchestra and College Park United Brethren Choir for a performance of Beethoven’s “Mass in C Major” on Nov. 13 at College Park United Brethren Church in Huntington as well as the 57th annual performance of Handel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 4 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington.
Both performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to come and sing with the choir or play in the HU orchestra. Choir rehearsals will be held at the Merillat Center for the Arts from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 1 through Dec. 1while orchestra rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. beginning Sept. 6 through Nov. 29.
For the Beethoven’s “Mass,” there will be a dress rehearsal held at College Park UB Church at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, and the dress rehearsal for “Messiah” will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Dress for the performances for the ladies will be a black dress, and for the men will be a dark suit with a white shirt and dark tie.
