HU Symphonic Band to present free Christmas concert

HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Join the Huntington University Symphonic Band for a free Christmas Pops concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at 7:30 in Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

The band, under the direction of Dr. Robert Lynn, will present a concert including arrangements of many familiar Christmas songs, both secular and sacred. The band will also perform several classical pieces, including “The Nutcracker” by Tchaikovsky. A highlight of the program will be music from two Christmas films, “Polar Express” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
