HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Five Huntington University students will perform in university’s 11th annual Concerto Winners Concert set for 7:30 p.m. April 20 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.
The concert features the winners of the HU Concerto Competition which was held last November.
Performers are:
| Senior soprano Breana Balliet of VanWert, Ohio, a theatre performance
major and music minor, will be singing “Ombre Légère” from Dinorah by G.
Meyerbeer. |  |
| Sophomore soprano Amy Bishop of Auburn, Ind., a vocal performance
major, who will be singing “Black Swan” and “Monica’s Waltz” from The
Medium, by Gian Carolo Menotti. |  |
| Junior soprano Brittany Blazier of Ossian, Ind., a choral education
major, will be singing “Voi che sapete” from Le Nozze di Figaro and
“Parto, parto” from La Clemenza di Tito by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. |  |
| Sophomore pianist Bobae Lee from Indonesia, a pre-med major, will be
playing “Concerto No. 5 in Eb Major, Op. 73” from by Ludwig van
Beethoven. |  |
| Sophomore tenor Jacob Smith of Berne, Ind., a choral education major,
will be singing “O wie angslich” and “Frisch zum Kampfe!” from Eie
Entführung aus dem Serail by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart. |  |
Each will perform with the Huntington University Chamber Orchestra directed by Dr. Robert Lynn, director of instrumental studies.
