Huntington, Ind.— Prepare for a world of fun with Dr. Seuss as the campers from the Huntington University Summer Theatre Youth Camp present “Seussical Jr.” at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. July 24 in the Merillat Centre for the Arts on the Huntington University campus.
This musical recounts the beloved children’s books by Dr. Seuss with character favorites such as The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz and Horton the Elephant.
The Summer Theatre Youth Camp, hosted by the Huntington University Theatre Department, teaches children in grades 1 through 10 to act, sing and dance while also providing them with valuable knowledge of language development and communication abilities. Campers are also taught how to use their own creativity while gaining an understanding of the art of theater.
