Andrews, Johnson Forester Athletes of the Week

Huntington, Ind.— The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of October 17-23, 2005. Two Forester cross country runners, junior Molly Andrews and freshman Nick Johnson, earned the honors for their excellent efforts during the week’s competitions.

Molly Andrews

Molly Andrews, a math education major from Greenwood, Ind. (Greenwood Community High School), earned Mid-Central College (MCC) All-Conference honors for the first time in her career with a 12th place finish in the MCC Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Her time of 19:32 took 23 seconds off her previous season best. The Foresters finished fifth in the team standings. Huntington next will compete in the NAIA Region 8 meet on Saturday, November 5 at 11 a.m. in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Nick Johnson

Nick Johnson, an exercise science major from Huntington, Ind. (Huntington North High School) also earned MCC All-Conference honors with his 10th place finish in the men’s MCC Championship race. His time of 26:16 was the best of his young career. Huntington’s men also finished fifth in the team standings and will next compete in the NAIA Region 8 meet on Saturday, November 5 at 11 a.m. in Grand Rapids, Mich.
