The Foresters, who have matched a high in wins during Coach Schroeder's tenure with 22, can't seem to put it together in conference play. HU dropped yet another MCC match to fall to 1-6 with a 30-25, 23-30, 21-30, 25-30 loss to Spring Arbor University.
In five of their six conference losses, the Foresters have managed to take a game from their opponent and are close in many of the others games, but they have been plagued with inconsistency in their hitting and passing when big points are being played.
Against the Cougars, HU struggled more with Spring Arbor's size. The Foresters were able to attack at the net in game one to get the win, but the Cougars then changed their blocking scheme and effectively shut down HU's offense. HU's ineffectiveness in blocking also led to the downfall.
Renee Biberstine led HU with 19 kills in the match. Amy Wilson added 11 kills and 32 digs. Stephanie Stearns had a team-high 41 digs and Alyssa Schroeder dished out 55 assists.
