HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University men’s soccer coach Russ Lawson has announced the latest addition to his 2014-15 roster with the signing of Marion High School senior Blake Beal.

In addition to playing a pivotal role in controlling tempo the past couple of seasons, Beal has also been versatile enough to get in the box and put his share of balls in the back of the net. Blake tallied eight goals and eight assists during his final year to help lead the Giants to their eighth straight sectional title and eventual trip to the IHSAA Semi-State.

“Blake has played in some huge games over his career at Marion,” says Lawson. “He is a strong striker who is tenacious and is coming off a tremendous fall where he was named to the North Central Conference First Team plus he scored the final PK to lift his team into a semi-state.”

Across campus Blake will look to impact our business department by focusing on marketing and sports management degrees.

Blake is the son of Kyle and Cami Beal of Marion, Ind.
