HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Forester men’s golf program and head coach Mark Green have announced the signing of Northrop High School standout Zach Borntreger.

With his final season still ahead of him, Borntreger has steadily improved each year with high hopes that he’s saved his best for last. He posted a 40.79 average last spring, shaving off nearly three strokes since his freshman year, and for his efforts received numerous honors and awards. In addition to being named All-SAC as a junior, the Fort Wayne native also earned his team’s most valuable player and most improved award.

“I am excited to have Zach join our golf program this fall,” said Coach Green. “Zach has proven himself as a great student in the classroom and he is a great fit for Huntington University, both spiritually and academically.”

Zach is the son of Tim and Stephanie Borntreger of Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
