HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Connor Brown, a senior standout at Huntington North High School, has committed to continue his education and bowling career at Huntington University in its inaugural season this fall.
A two-sport athlete at Huntington North in soccer and bowling, Brown was a four-year varsity bowler for the Vikings during which the program enjoyed four undefeated conference seasons, four conference championships, three sectional titles, four regional and semi-state appearances, one semi-state title, three state and two state final four appearances and one team state championship. He advanced to the regional singles in 2010. His high series is 835, a Huntington County (Ind.) record.
“Connor just has a great work ethic, dedication and a great game. Coming from one of the best high school programs in Indiana, his experience in every level of tournament competition over his four years at Huntington North, makes him a great fit for our new bowling program. I’m proud to see him here,” said coach Jim Bischoff, who is also Connor’s stepfather and Huntington North coach prior to coming to HU.
Connor is the fourth bowler from Huntington North and third Viking senior to sign with Huntington Univeristy following Ayla Yeiter and Eleni Newsome. Former Viking Tyler Neff, a freshman at HU, will also be bowling this fall.
Huntington University men's and women's teams will compete in intercollegiate bowling beginning in the fall of 2012. For more information about Huntington University and the bowling program, contact Coach Jim Bischoff at email@example.com
