Crowley named All-Conference, Drummond is gold glover

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Freshman Michael Crowley was deemed the top catcher among his Crossroads League peers to earn All-Conference honors as announced earlier this week.

As HU’s starting catcher this season, Crowley is riding a .946 fielding percentage and has picked off 12 of his 21 opponents who have tried to steal second.

The Chesterton (Ind.) native (Chesterton HS) has hammered out 36 hits to date which includes six doubles and three round-trippers to go along with eight walks and 20 RBI.

Senior Austin Drummond (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North HS) was also honored by the Crossroads League this season as a member of the Gold Glove Team. As the league’s top left fielder, Drummond has been perfect in the outfield, boasting a 1.00 fielding percentage. In 44 games he has tallied 68 catches and an assist.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
