DeBoni named Crossroads Track Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Earlier today the Crossroads League announced that Huntington University sophomore Daniel DeBoni (Goshen, Ind., Goshen HS) has been named the league’s Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7, 2014, for his outstanding efforts at the HU Invitational this past weekend.

DeBoni proved to be the fastest runner at Saturday’s meet by winning both sprints. He posted a winning time of 10.91 in the 100 meters and then went on to win the 200 meters in 22.23, establishing a new PR and moving from fifth to fourth in the Huntington record books.

DeBoni and crew will hit the road this weekend to compete in the Indiana Little State Championships to be held in Marion, Ind.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
