The Foresters competed at the Bluffton Beaver Invitational with the men earning a second place finish with 160 points and the women a fourth place finish with 76 points.
In the women's competition, Bethany McGraw took two firsts and a second to pace the Foresters. She won the long and triple jumps with marks of 4.98 meters and 10.31 meters respectively and she was second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.71. Lauren Davenport crossed the line first in the 400 hurdles with a winning time of 1:10.59 and she added a third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.59. Jill Roughia was the only other winner for HU. She won the 3000 meter steeplechase in 12:35.21.
Bowling Green University took the team title with 253 points followed by Albion (153.5), Defiance (115), HU (76), Bluffton (52.5), Bowling Green TC (10) and Tri-State (8).
On the men's side, the Foresters brought home six firsts on their way to a second place finish. Kameron Bailey and Sean LaFontaine were both double winners. Bailey won two of the sprints taking the 100 in 11.29 and the 200 in 22.53. LaFontaine finished first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.54 and he won the long jump with a leap of 6.01 meters. Aaron Mills cleared 3.77 meters to win the pole vault and Nick Johnson and Dan Lindbloom tied for first in the 1500 meter run with identical times of 4:16.00.
Tri-State won the men's title with 168 points followed by HU (160), Bluffton (138), Defiance (118) and Bowling Green TC (76).
