HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The University of Northwestern Ohio men’s tennis team proved why they deserve their No. 15 national ranking by handing HU a 6-3 loss Thursday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts.
Things started off well for Huntington as they claimed two matches in doubles action. Vlad Khudziy and Jose Hungria teamed up at No. 1 doubles to make easy work of Daniel Rueda and Ronnie Myburgh 8-3 while Joseph Straznicky and Diego Inurritegui disposed of Thommy Johansson and Emin Alpan 8-4 at the #2 spot.
It was all Racer tennis after that as Khudziy was the only Forester to remain undefeated on the season with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Rueda.
The Foresters (1-1) jump back into conference play on Tuesday when they travel to Taylor for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
