HUNTINGTON, IN— The Battle Creek Bombers announced the rehiring of assistant baseball coach Thad Frame. Frame spent the 2010 summer season coaching the Bombers’ hitters and infielder.

"I am excited about the opportunity coach (Donnie) Scott and general manager Brian Colopy have given me to join the Battle Creek baseball family," Frame said. "I have a tremendous amount of respect towards the Northwoods League, and I am happy to be on board as a coach for the Battle Creek Bombers. I look forward to learning a lot, teaching the game and working hard to help our players and our program continue to develop."

Frame played his college ball at Huntington University where he was a four year starter under Indiana Hall of Fame coach Mike Frame. He was a 2007 NAIA All-American and three time MCC All-Conference player. Frame was also a three time All-Conference Gold Glove as the Foresters’ shortstop.

After finishing his collegiate career Frame became an assistant coach for the Carolina Chaos in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Huntington University where he works with hitters and infielders and runs the strength and conditioning program.

The Northwoods League is a prestigious summer wooden bat league featuring some of the top college players in the country. In June 2011, the Bombers will begin their fifth season playing at Battle Creek’s C.O. Brown Stadium.
