HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Aloha state is home of the Huntington University women’s bowling program’s most recent recruit. Head Coach Jim Bischoff recently announced the signing of Maryknoll High School (Honolulu, HI) standout Emerald Leong.
The right-handed stroker was the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Bowler of the Year this past season, averaging 195, and is a three-time First Team ILH All-Star. She carded a high series of 742 and a high game of 277.
Leong led her Spartan squad to State Runner-up title in 2011 and was an individual state bronze medalist that same year by finishing seventh. She also helped guide her team to a Division I Championship.
Leong has also been active in the individual circuit, having competed in tournaments including the Oahu Junior Masters, Hawaii Pepsi Youth Championships and Whiz Kids Aiea Bowling Club.
