HU men’s basketball adds Lucas to roster

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Head Coach Ty Platt and the Huntington University men’s basketball program continue to add depth and talent to their 2014-15 roster with the signing of Brownsburg High School standout Trevor Lucas.

The 6-0 guard has had an outstanding career in a Bulldog uniform highlighted by his senior campaign where he helped guide his team to a 21-3 record by averaging 12.7 points, a team-high 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per outing.

In addition to being invited to the Top 60 Workout, the two-time HCC All-Conference and All-Hendricks County honoree also paced BHS to a county and sectional championship this past season.

"Our 2014 class continues to get stronger with the signing of Trevor Lucas,” said Platt. “He is a tough, athletic guard who can score and rebound. Trevor has been was a part of a very successful basketball program and he is a very good student and an excellent young man. We expect Trevor to have a great career as a Forester."

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
