HU takes 2nd at Taylor Invite

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Playing in a five-team invitational hosted by Taylor University at Purdue University’s Kampen GC in West Lafayatte on April 22-23, the Forester golf team posted a 611 to finish second.

Rylan Porter was a picture of consistency, shooting a 74 each day to finish fourth overall with a four-over-par 148. Three strokes behind him was Mickey Belt (75, 76) who finished in a three-way tie for seventh. Devin Dale (79, 77) and Josh Teulker (79, 77) turned in identical scores to finish tied for 10th with a 156.

Other finishers for HU included Lance Hoch (80, 79), Ryan Boester (77, 83) and Derek Zurcher (81, 83).
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 46 NAIA All-America honors and 202 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
