In the first round of the Mid-Central Conference tournament, the #6-seeded Foresters gave the #3-seeded St. Francis Cougars all they could handle, but came up short in the 3-2 loss.
HU, who was shut out 5-0 by the Cougars earlier in the season, held St. Francis scoreless until the final minute of the first half. The Cougars made it 2-0 in the 70th minute, but the Foresters responded a minute later with their first score, a Brenda Bair goal off an assist from Hannah Kaufman.

St. Francis again took a two-goal lead with another goal in the 80th minute, but again HU immediately answered when Liz DeHaan sent home a Sarah Kaufman pass less than 60 seconds later. HU continued to battle for the equalizer over the final 10 minutes, but couldn't find the back of the net.

The defeat brought HU's season to a close with an overall record of 9-9-1.
