The Foresters (11-9, 6-3) held the NAIA top-ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats to six field goals on 29% shooting in the second half to run away with the 60-46 win. Playing without Liz Howerth, their top scorer and rebounder, the Wildcats kept the Foresters within striking distance in the first half and went to the locker room down just 25-24 at the break.

To open the second half, Lisa Thompson scored on a layup to give IWU a 26-25 lead, but a jumper by Janna Knisely put HU back in front for good. Following Knisely’s jumper, the Foresters used a 10-3 run to take an eight-point lead midway through the half. A layup by Sarah McGill cut it to six, but another 14-5 spurt gave HU its largest lead of the game at 51-36 with 4:39 to play. Two free throws by McGill with just under a minute to play cut the deficit to 10 at 56-46, but Betsey Bean drained four consecutive charity tosses to secure the win.

Bean and Knisely paced HU with 17 points apiece. Bean also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. McGill took top scoring honors for the game with 18 off the bench for the Wildcats. The Foresters won the game at the line, knocking down 25-28 free throws for 89%, while IWU went 10-13 for 77%. HU also won the battle of the boards 30-24.
