HU wraps up league play with loss to Bethel

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The HU volleyball team stole a set from the conference’s top team but would get no closer as Bethel College wrapped up the regular season with a 3-1 win, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19, over the Foresters Tuesday night.

Huntington played within two points of the Pilots in the first game and then claimed the next set before BC (22-10) warmed up to knock out the next two sets to log their 16th league win.

For Coach Settle’s squad, they drop to 3-15 in Crossroads play, 7-22 overall.

Audrey Mallers tallied a team-high 17 kills to go along with a .342 hitting percentage. Abbey Keister And Heather Medich added 12 and 11 kills respectively. Jensen Carnahan dished out 43 assists while Codie Morey posted 24 digs to pace HU defensively.

The Foresters are back in action this weekend for the Lourdes University tri-match.
