Huntington finishes third at Gettig Invitational

Huntington, Ind. - Josh Teulker shot a 73 (35, 38) to lead the Forester golf team to a third place finish at Trine University’s Bill Gettig Invitational at Zollner Golf Course on Saturday afternoon. The Gettig Invitational used a five-golfer format to tally team scores, rather than the conventional four-person team tally.

Jordan Dawes finished second for HU with a 74 (35, 39). Matt Wilson shot a 76 (39, 37), Cory Powell added a 77 (42, 35) and Seth Robertson rounded out the scoring with a 78 (39, 39).

Ohio Northern edged Adrian, 368 to 369, to take first place. Huntington University was third with 378. Hope (382), Indiana Tech (383), Davenport (384) Rochester (391), Olivet (393) and Albion (421) captured spots four through nine.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
