Huntington University men’s soccer coach Russ Lawson has announced that former French Creek Valley Christian School midfielder, Matt Jackson, will be transferring to Huntington next year to continue his soccer career. During Jackson’s senior season he scored eight goals and dished out five assists while leading his team to a conference championship. He is a three-time All Conference player who is anxious to get back on the field after sitting out his first year at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
“We are thrilled that Matt will continue his career at Huntington,” says Lawson. “The coaching staff is confident his tenacious play combined with his offensive ability will make for a smooth transition to the NAIA level. Matt will be entering Huntington as an honor student leading us to believe that he is going to make his mark with his books as well as the soccer ball.”
Matt is the son of Kenneth and Melinda Jackson from Centerville, PA.
