The Foresters fought back from a 3-1 second half deficit to even the score in the 78th minute only to fall to Marian College 4-3 in double overtime.
Sarah Kaufman gave HU the 1-0 lead when she netted a loose ball over the head of Marian's keeper at the 28:51 mark. The Knights scored two of their own in the final six minutes of the half to take a 2-1 lead to the break.
Fifty seconds into the second half, the Knights made it 3-1 on a score off a throw in. The Foresters cut Marian's lead in half when Bethany McGraw put in a cross from Stephanie Spitnale in the 60th minute. HU continued to battled and finally evened the match when Kaufman headed in a lob from Colleen Knox at the 78:25 mark.
The score remained tied at 3-3 through the remainder of regulation and a first overtime period. With under five minutes left in the second overtime, the Knights netted the game-winner on a header off a corner kick to earn the victory.
HU falls to 7-8-1 overall and 1-5 in the MCC with the loss.
