HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University freshman Miranda Palmer was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week for the week of February 10 as announced earlier today. Palmer is the third Forester to receive the league’s player of the week honor this season.

Palmer helped guide the Foresters to two wins last week. On Wednesday, her reverse lay-up with 16 ticks remaining proved to be the game-winner in HU’s 51-49 upset over 7th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University. She poured in a game-high 22 points which included three triples and a perfect night at the line (5-for-5).

Three days later, the 5-6 guard did a little bit of everything for her team in a 95-55 blowout over Goshen. In addition to scoring 17 points, Palmer also tallied four rebounds, two assists and a steal.

For the week, Palmer averaged 19.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. She shot 54 percent from the field which included going 5-for-10 behind the arc and was perfect at the line, knocking down all eight of her attempts.
