HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Head coach Ty Platt and the Huntington University men’s basketball program have announced their first 2014-15 recruit with the signing of Switzerland County High School standout Austin Clark.

With his senior campaign yet to come, the Vevay, Indiana native has already racked up numerous local and state awards throughout his prep career. The 6-7 forward has twice earned a spot on the annual list of Top 100 Underclassmen in Indiana in addition to claiming Madison Courier First Team and All-Conference honors the last two seasons.

As a junior, Clark averaged 18.3 points and 5.2 rebounds and for his efforts received Indiana All-State Honorable Mention accolades in addition to being named Madison Courier Player of the Year.

“We are very excited to start off our 2014 recruiting class with the signing of Austin,” said Coach Platt. “He is a big strong young man that we think will have a tremendous career as a Forester. Austin can score inside and outside, is a strong rebounder, runs the floor well and plays with a passion. He has been coached well in high school and we think he will continue to develop into a top notch college player.”

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 46 NAIA All-America honors and 202 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
