Huntington, Ind.— Fall foliage means basketball season to the Hoosier state. In keeping with tradition, Steve Platt, Huntington College Men’s Basketball coach, will give his annual preview of this season’s team at the upcoming Foundation Breakfast on November 10, 2004.

The public is cordially invited to attend. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m., in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6.00 per person. First time attendees to the breakfast series eat free. Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. For more information, please contact the Huntington College Foundation at (260) 359-4066 or by email at hcfoundation@huntington.edu.

Platt, who has compiled 224 wins against 111 losses as a head coach in 10 years, led his 2003-04 squad to a second-place finish in the Mid-Central Conference. The Foresters’ 14th-place ranking in the final NAIA poll earned them their third consecutive berth in the NAIA Division II National Tournament. Platt’s winning percentage of .669 is the highest in school history. He reached the 100-win plateau faster than any previous Huntington men’s basketball coach during his sixth season at the helm and needed just three more years and two games to claim his 200th win this past season against Spring Arbor University on November 5th.

The Foresters, who were picked as the pre-season favorites in the MCC by the conference coaches, open the season on November 1, in an exhibition game against IPFW at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. Game time is set for 7 p.m. For further basketball information, visit www.huntington.edu/athletics.
