Wust named Crossroads Offensive Player of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington freshman Isaac Wust has been named the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 30, 2013.

Wust, a midfielder from Huntington, Ind., scored a pair of goals and assisted another to help guide the Foresters to a 1-0-1 record last week.

Against Mount Vernon on Wednesday, the rookie registered his third assist of the season in the 67th minute of play before burying the game-winner less than two minutes later to lift HU past the Cougars 3-2.

On Saturday, he followed up with another impressive performance by scoring his team’s first goal off a corner kick against 18th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan in a match that eventually ended in a 2-2 draw.

To date, Wust has scored three goals to go along with three assists for nine points on the season.
