Wust named Forester Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of September 30, 2013. Men’s soccer freshman Isaac Wust earned the honor for his outstanding efforts during the week’s competitions.

On Wednesday, Wust (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North H.S.) scored the game-winner in the 69th minute against Mount Vernon, securing a 3-2 come-from-behind victory for the Foresters. Less than two minutes earlier, the midfielder assisted Josh Codd on the equalizer to earn three points on the day.

Against Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, Wust scored on a corner kick at the 32:50 mark to help guide his squad to a 2-2 stalemate against the No. 18 Wildcats.

To date, he has tallied nine points on the season by scoring three goals and assisting three others.

The Foresters (5-5-1, 1-1-1) are back in action on Tuesday when they host Goshen College at 4:00 p.m.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
