Yellowjackets cruise past HU in Mobile

Mobile, Ala. - Up against #12 seeded Graceland University (IA) in first round action of the 2011 NAIA National Tennis Tournament in Mobile, Alabama, the No. 21 Forester men’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to the Yellowjackets on Tuesday morning to bring their season to a close.

The highlight of the day came at #1 doubles where Vlad Khudziy and Augusto Velez teamed up to grab an exciting 9-7 win over Graceland’s Remy Caffardo, the third-ranked player in the country according to the latest Campbell/ITA college tennis ranking, and Carlos Yanes.

Khudziy entered the national tournament as the 20th-ranked player n the ITA rankings. The Foresters wrap-up their stellar season with an overall record of 13-4.
