Huntington Leadership Luncheon to feature Vessels

Huntington, Ind.—On March 26, the Huntington University Center for Leadership will sponsor a Leadership Luncheon open to business and community leaders.

The luncheon will feature Ed Vessels, president of HiValu Leadership Development Services and former general manager and director of operations at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems.

His presentation is titled “Avoid the Sinking Ship.”

Upon retiring from Bendix after 31 years, Vessels founded HiValu Leadership to provide leadership training to individuals, churches, companies and non-profit organizations. He earned an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Ohio State University.

The event will be held in the upper level of Habecker Dining Commons from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $20, and it includes lunch. Discounts are available when two or more attend from the same business or organization. To register, call (800) 600-4888. Walk-ins also are accepted.

This luncheon is part of a series of luncheons that offered on the fourth Thursday of every month.

The Huntington University Center for Leadership has developed over the last year and has now found a home on the university’s campus in the EXCEL Adult Degree Programs office. Under the direction of Dr. Rick Upchurch, director of the EXCEL program, the CFL plans to provide leadership training and resources to businesses, community leaders and pastors in northern Indiana.
