Huntington University to host 18th Annual Consortium for Computing Sciences conference

HUNTINGTON, Ind.— Huntington University will host the 18th Annual Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges Midwest Conference on Sept. 23 and 24. The event will bring together approximately 120 faculty and students from academic institutions throughout the Midwest to exchange ideas and information regarding undergraduate computer science.

The Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges is a non-profit organization focused on promoting quality computer-oriented curricula as well as the effective use of computing in smaller institutions of higher learning.

The Consortium is comprised of 10 regions throughout the United States. The Midwest region generally draws faculty and students from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois. Each region sponsors an annual conference which includes keynote and banquet speakers, paper presentations, workshops and tutorials, student research posters and a student programming contest.

While the conference is open to the public, registration is required. Early registration is $140 through Sept. 9. After Sept. 9, registration is $160 and can be handled at the door.
