Joe Mertz Center, Red Cross to host blood drive

Huntington, Ind.—Huntington University’s Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service and the Huntington County Chapter of the American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive that is open to the community from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on April 15 in the lounge of the university’s Baker and Roush halls.

Those interested in donating may register online. The sponsor code is “hu.”

Founded in 1992, the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service has become an integral part of Huntington University campus life. During the 2007-2008 academic year, students, faculty and staff volunteered for more than 12,900 hours, serving families, organizations and programs.
