South Korean artist to exhibit in Wilson Gallery

Huntington, Ind.—Artist Kwangkyu Park will hold an exhibition titled “Fish Series” in Huntington University’s Robert E. Wilson Gallery from Sept. 10 to Oct. 10. The artist reception will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the lobby area by the gallery.

Park earned a Master of Arts degree in arts and physical education in 1993 from Daegu University. The artist has exhibited mainly in his homeland of South Korea. Park also served as an art instrustor at Daegu University.

Through “Fish Series,” Park will display approximately 20 works all featuring the artist’s chosen subject, fish.

“When I observe fish, I am fascinated by their dynamic movements and their beautiful range of colors,” Park said. “The activity of the fish, their relationships to one another and their particular gestures motivate me to draw.”

The Robert E. Wilson Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all Merillat Centre for the Arts performances, and by appointment. For further information, contact Barb Michel, interim gallery director, at (260) 359-4172.
