Twenty HC students named to Who’s Who

Huntington, Ind.— The 2004 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges will include the names of 20 students from Huntington College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders

 

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

They join an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.

Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934. Students named from Huntington College this year include:

Leah Coon, a senior English education major from Sand Creek, Mich.
Jeffrey Edgel, a senior elementary education major from Grand Ledge, Mich.
Kyle Shoemaker, a senior elementary education major from Sheridan, Ind.
Claire Pontius, a senior English education major from Bloomington, Ind.
Ashley Fox, a senior history major from Roanoke, Ind.
Rachel Rohrs, a senior mathematics education major from Van Wert, Ohio.
Matthew Purdy, a senior small business management major from North Manchester, Ind.
Beth Shindle, a senior English major from Greencastle, Pa.
Walter Burgin, a senior business accounting major from Kokomo, Ind.
Tanner Babb, a senior psychology major from Huntington, Ind.
Ryan Thwaits, a senior small business management major from Goshen, Ind.
Benjamin Eggleston, a senior mathematics major from Elkhart, Ind.
Mylana Leatherman, a senior history major from Shipshewana, Ind.
Derek Yoder, a senior psychology major from Shipshewana, Ind.
Anne Jacquay, a senior elementary education major from Auburn, Ind.
