Beerbower earns Forester Athlete of the Week honors

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the weeks of Dec. 8-Jan. 4. Women’s basketball junior Courtney Beerbower earned the honor for her outstanding effort during the month’s competitions.

Courtney Beerbower, an elementary/special education major from Auburn, Ind. (DeKalb High School), put together four quality performances over the holiday break, averaging a double-double with 12.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She posted a new career high with 17 rebounds against Olivet Nazarene and brought her career double-double total to 10 with three during the four-game stretch. The Foresters (11-3) return to action on Jan. 7 when they host Bethel College at 7 p.m.
