Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 20-26. Women’s soccer junior Bethany McGraw and men’s soccer freshman Steven Roberts earned the honors for their outstanding efforts during the week’s competitions.
Bethany McGraw, an exercise science major from Toledo, Ohio (Toledo Christian High School), scored two goals to help lead the Foresters to a 2-1 double overtime win over Goshen College. McGraw netted her first goal less than three minutes into the contest and scored the game winner with a little more than four minutes remaining in the second overtime period. Huntington returns to action on Oct. 28 for its regular season finale when they host Grace College at 3:30 p.m.
Steven Roberts
Steven Roberts, an exercise science major from Fort Wayne, Indiana (Bishop Dwenger High School) played a key role in leading Huntington to a 5-3 win over Holy Cross College during the week. Roberts found the back of the net twice in the first half to get the Foresters off to a good start. His goals came in the 12th and 26th minutes of play. Huntington plays in its final regular season match today at home against Marian College at 3:30 p.m.
