The Foresters (18-17, 7-9) made quick work of the University of St. Francis with a five-inning, 10-0 shutout in game one, but then gave up the second late 4-3.

HU came out swinging in their first at-bat of the day, scoring six runs on six hits that included a three-run blast from Korey Grow. They added four more in the second, but this time it was Levi Sell delivering the big three-run blow. Michael Dalton got the complete game win scattering four hits over the five innings and striking out four. Grow and Sell both went 2-3 at the plate, scored two runs and drove in three for the Foresters.

In game two, HU scored a run in the fourth and another in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead, but they couldn't make it stick. The Cougars tied it up with two in the top of the sixth and then went ahead 4-2 with two more in the seventh. In the Foresters' final at-bat, Thad Frame smacked a two-out single to left to score Zach Crooks. A walk to Andy Janzen loaded the bases, but the rally came up short when Grow flied out to left-center to end the game.

Adam Farris, who relieved starter Trent Huffman with two outs in the sixth, took the loss for HU. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk in one and a third innings of work. Keith Benbow led the Foresters with two hits including his third homerun of the season.
