Forester media guides earn national honors

Huntington, Ind.—Three Huntington University media guides recently received national honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Sports Information Directors Association for the 2006-2007 season.

For the fourth year in a row, a Forester media guide won best cover in the country with this year’s honors going to both baseball and women’s basketball. The women’s guide also placed fifth for content in the women’s basketball brochure division. The men’s basketball media guide also received recognition. The men’s guide placed third for content in the men’s basketball brochure division. This is the sixth time in as many years that Huntington University has received national recognition in the NAIA-SIDA Publications Contest.

Julie Babb, publications and advertising coordinator, designed the women’s award-winning cover, and Nate Vandlen designed the baseball cover. Lori Culler, sports information director and Bridger Fetters, public relations student assistant, along with Babb were responsible for the content, layout and design of both the men and women’s basketball guides.
