Huntington, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2011 Men's Golf All-Americans and among the list of honorees was Huntington University’s Jordan Dawes.
Dawes, a junior from Leesburg, Indiana (Wawasee High School), was a Third Team All-America pick. As the 2011 MCC Conference Medalist and Player of the Year, he boasted a 73.46 stroke average. He led the Foresters to an impressive come-from-behind win to capture the 2011 MCC conference title and earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships for the second time in three years where they finished 23rd.
Dawes, a three-time MCC All-Conference pick, earned the Yellow Jacket Invitational and Saint Francis Invitational medalist honors in the fall. He has also proven himself successful in the classroom having earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors as a business management major.
