Foresters third in MCC

After digging themselves in a hole by shooting a 310 in the first round of the MCC tournament, the Foresters bounded back with a 291 and 300 in the final two rounds to finish third with a team score of 901.

Marian took the team title with a three-round score of 888 followed by Indiana Wesleyan (890), HU (901), Bethel (926), Saint Francis (930), Spring Arbor (936), Taylor (939), Grace (976) and Goshen (1048).

Despite the third place finish, HU put three players, Jordan Dawes, Matt Wilson and Cory Powell, among the top 10 finishers which earned them MCC All-Conference honors. Dawes shot a 74 each round to finish with a team-best 222. Wilson shot even par in his last round to finish with a 224. Powell was third with a 225. Mickey Belt had a 231 and Josh Teulker shot a 240 for the tournament.

The Foresters finish their season with an overall record of 48-22.
