HU finishes 5th at Battle at Blackthorn

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The HU golf team shot a 623 (312, 311) at Bethel College's Battle at Blackthorn to finish fifth out of 15 teams.

Rylan Porter shot a one-over-par to finish third overall with a 145 (72, 73). Mickey Belt (77, 81) and Devin Dale (80, 78) tied with four others for 27th place with a 158. Josh Teulker turned in a 162 (83, 79) while Lance Hoch carded a 164 (83, 81). Derek Zurcher played as an individual and finished with a 181 (84, 97).

Marian captured the title with 593 followed by Ashford (598), Holy Cross (611), Bethel (620), HU (623), Wheaton (628), Taylor (629), St. Francis (IL) (632), Spring Arbor (634), Mount Vernon (635), Roosevelt (644), Saint Francis (648), Goshen (509), Trinity Christian (660) and Grace (668).
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
