MARION, Ind. - The Forester golf team kicked off the season with an 8th-place finish at the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invitational at Meshingomesia Country Club in Marion, Indiana, on Monday and Tuesday. HU turned in rounds of 313 and 319 in the two-day event paced by senior Josh Teulker’s 15th-place performance of 153 (73, 80).
Senior Mickey Belt recorded a 158 (80, 78) while sophomore Devin Dale turned in an 80 each day. Freshmen Lance Hoch carded a 162 (80, 82) while classmate Derek Zurcher finished with a 163 (82, 81).
Holy Cross claimed the title with 594 points followed by Grand Rapids Community College (605), Marian (613), Bethel (616), Indiana Wesleyan (618), Taylor (619), Grace (631), HU (632), Mount Vernon (634) and Saint Francis (649)
HU hits the road again on September 21-22 when they compete in the Bill Bockwitz Invitational hosted by Spring Arbor University.
